Westmeath Vocational Education Committee (www.westmeathvec.ie)  provides access to adult education for long term unemployed adults in the county of Westmeath in the midlands of Ireland.
It provides these opportunities to over 6,000 adults and offers a great variety of choices. One of these options is at Athlone Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS)

Athlone VTOS is a full-time educational and training course where students can choose from a menu of subjects which suits their individual needs. Main subject areas include Computers, Business, Arts and Crafts plus general core subjects such as English, Communications, Maths etc.
There are no qualifications required and it is designed to meet the needs of adults who left school without gaining a Leaving Certificate and/or have been out of education for a number of years.
